Completed 2003
The Farmers Market Master Plan II (1998) -
The A.F. Gilmore Company has again positioned the historic Farmers Market
to accommodate a large retail development on the eastern portion of
the site, The Grove. We were responsible for planning and designing 53,000 sq.ft.
of new and replacement retail stores ranging from small (900 sq.ft.
) to large (18,000 - plus sq.ft.); 15,000 sq.ft. of restaurant space;
51,000 sq. ft. of office space (with 100 plus dedicated parking); providing
550 surface parking spaces; improved site amenities; incorporating a
trolley that connects the Farmers Market and its enhancements with
the new neighboring retail center; and preserving and enhancing the
historic adobe buildings and gardens.
We have completed many projects over the last
20 years at the Market including the remodel of existing food patio
dining spaces, invisible mending, remodel of the adobe outbuildings, additions
of new retail spaces, etc...
