A 400-sq. ft. tenant improvement for jewelry designer Suzanne Felsen located in Bergamot Station. It is positioned among an eclectic mix of retail / gallery spaces, serving the artistic community of Southern California. The interior space was designed with a simple contemporary aesthetic in keeping with the jewelry it showcases. The central blue box serves as a focal display case - a reinterpretation of the traditional jewelry store in wood grain laminate and aluminum. Materials were chosen for their evocativeness and to meet the tight budget. Freestanding display cases are constructed of colored wood grained laminate, glass and standard aluminum glazing sections.
