Downtown Los Angeles, CA
The design for this downtown multi-use facility of 110,000 sq.ft. containing
offices, a 25,000 sq.ft. conference center, community services and retail
space was planned for a non-profit organization. The project was to
be built for the non-profit by a developer. The 2-story portion houses
a conference facility and the 4-story portion houses offices and other
uses. The design incorporates sustainable design strategies. Parking
is provided in an underground garage topped with ground and roof level
landscaped courts and decks.
Located in a rich historical zone, the design seeks a contemporary language
with strong contexural and urban ties.
The construction budget was $12,500,000.
