The Evans Road House is a new 7,000 sq.ft. house located on a sloping 53,500 sq.ft. wooded site in Pacific Palisades. It is accessed by a bridge over a creek. Planning entitlements involved complex approvals including issues relative to hillsides, creek, private roads, and interpretation of the planning code to allow the house to step up the site rather than be massed on one large level pad. It is just beginning to nestle in to its incredible hillside site. All existing large trees were retained and a pool added. As the added planting matures and spills over the house, the fusion of the landscape and the building will realize the reinvention of the quintessential California family house.Construction Cost: $1.5M
