PLANS
The AMP lofts envision mixed-use urban living
that activates pedestrian space and
strengthens community at the edges of Downtown
Los Angeles’ burgeoning Arts District.

A set of straightforward organizational strategies define edge and center and establish an identity for progressive urban living. Two-story live/work units are located at the the street to establish strong edges, 5,000 sf of retail is located at the Southwest corner to stimulate street activity, and a green-screened parking structure acts as a podium for loft units. On the podium, the 3-bar organization allows for internal open-air streets, courts, overhead walkways, daylight to below, and cross-ventilation for all higher units. While approved by the city, the economic slump of the past 5 years has left this project unrealized.
