Non-profit ProLiteracy wanted a new headquarters
with a visible local presence and a contemporary
approach to literacy program development.

The ProLiteracy headquarters is one anchor tenant in the adaptive re-use of the Case Supply Warehouse, a masterplan developed by Koning Eizenberg Architecture in association with King + King Architects to revitalize Syracuse’s underserved Near Westside neighborhood. The 15,000 sf space reconfigures the east end of the industrial warehouse into training rooms, computer lab, reading room, and open plan office space emphasizing a team approach. The design is organized around a two-story “library wall” incorporating digital displays as well as printed material and cultural artifacts from the organization’s international presence.
